You guys are insane, period. You’d think the people who follow a religion that preaches the gospel of loving thy neighbor would do just that, lest you be deemed hypocrites.
Religulous (pronounced re-LIG-uh-liss, by the way)is a beautiful film, and I say that as someone who grew up in the church. It’s great because it questions religion and makes others question it too. Blindly following something without ever questioning it is a dangerous thing that can put you (and society) in a bad position.
If you were strong enough in your beliefs, you should be able to see this documentary without offense, simply because your beliefs would be strong enough to withstand the critique that Bill gives it.
I agree with Rachel. You guys are what is wrong with this country. You have never read the bible because if you had you would be disgusted with it in just the first 5 books. It promotes bigitry, slavery, rape, and murder. Exodus 21 verse 7 says it is ok to sell your daughter into slavery. And for which ever one of you ignorant children that had the long hair corinthians 11:14 doth not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair it is a shame onto him. That one must be right. Deut. 13:13-19 says if a town doesnt believe in god you must attack the town and destroy all the inhabitants and the live stock and pile them in the middle of town and burn them. Numbers 31 Kill every male among the little ones and every female who has known man by lying with him, but the young girls who have not known man by lying with them you keep for yourself. Do you touch little kids? It sounds like your dad does you said he laid his hand on you. Did he touch you where you pee? Show me on the doll. You two dont know anything about what you are trying to preach. Do you think you know god? You cant, just face it. You are just scared. Your parents did a horrible job bringing you up and should be punished for it. Your god doesnt exist. Just like the tooth fairy its a fairy tale. No amount of praying will save you so give it up or atleast quite shoving in people faces. If there really is a Hell thats the place you will end and you will burn, but there isnt so your safe to lie to everyone.
you know what’s funny … (im one third jewish raised lutheran) … he is laughing at you right now … and so am i ….. i believe in a god who has the ability to laugh at himself .. or herself … if you take anything out of this movie .. it should be .. keep thy religion to thyself … christian? catholic? muslim? buddhist? …. who cares ….. unite us in happiness … not religion …. and happiness no matter how intelligent you are … is pretty easily understood … this movie should make people laugh … i reckon it would make god laugh … and thats not such a bad thing … people aren’t going to go home at the end of seeing this movie and be corrupted … they will have had a good time … and then its back to life … hopefully going to work the next day … spending weekends with the wife and kids … bla bla bla … or whatever makes yuo happy … or you could just go to church that weekend and in your own mind … thank god for that laugh you had the previous weekend…. because no movie you see … or god you believe in will ever dictate the integrity of your intentions and quality of your decision making …. get a life
